Engagement Photographer Orange County – Tam and Thien
From the moment I met Tam and Thien, I knew a memorable engagement session was in the making. Tam and Thien’s style is understated. With Tam’s crisp shirt and Thien’s simple white dress, the couple displayed a timeless elegance that could have easily transported them back to decades in the past. They displayed such natural fun-loving and easy-going attitudes that were truly fitting of the bold, fun, and vibrant surroundings of The Lab. (Engagement Photographer Orange County)
The second portion of the engagement took place at Irvine Park in Orange County. Thien switched to an ao dai, a traditional Vietnamese outfit that pays homage to her homeland and the women who would wear this traditional dress for their own weddings. The muted colors of the park’s surroundings provided the perfect backdrop. No fancy buildings, no pretense in the air…just trees and a dirt path framed by a wooden fence. This backdrop presented the perfect opportunity to capture their love in a beautifully nostalgic way. The muted colors of the surroundings provided the perfect accessory as the delicate florals on Thien’s ao dai seemed to take on new form, showcasing a display of floral lace that otherwise might have been lost to a fancier setting. I also loved how the late afternoon sunlight provided a warmth to the pictures, transforming the scenery into a bokeh wonderland. As a photographer, I have had the wonderful opportunity to capture many couples for their engagements. However, I have not seen a couple that were able to blend the traditional and modern with as much success. Thank you for your time, Tam and Thien!
